Beissier is a Basque company founded in 1930 that specializes in the manufacture and commercialization of paints, fillers, mortars and other products for the preparation and repair of interior and exterior surfaces, including external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) for façades.
Beissier, in its journey towards greater sustainability in its processes and products, has once again trusted IK Ingeniería for the development of its new verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). These declarations transparently present the environmental profile of its ready-to-use AGUAPLAST fillers for skimming, smoothing and repairing surfaces, in accordance with ISO 14025:2006 and EN 15804+A2 standards. The assessment is based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), considering the manufacturing, transport, application and end-of-life stages of the products.
The study was carried out in accordance with the requirements established in UNE-EN 15804:2012+A2:2020 and the PCR 2019:14 Construction Products (version 1.3.4) of the International EPD System certification programme, and includes life cycle stages A1, A2, A3, C1, C2, C3, C4 and D.
At IK Ingeniería, we supported Beissier throughout the entire process, from the collection and analysis of life cycle inventory data to the preparation of the EPD and technical assistance during the verification and certification audit.
The product units analysed include more than 40 commercial references in various packaging formats. Among the products covered are AGUAPLAST Standard Cima, AGUAPLAST Standard Profesional, AGUAPLAST Drywall ProFinish, AGUAPLAST Universal Fassade, AGUAPLAST All4IN o AGUAPLAST Madera, among others.
