HINE Group has entrusted IK Ingeniería with the development of the organizational Carbon Footprints of its different companies, thereby strengthening its commitment to sustainability and the continuous improvement of its environmental performance.
Founded in 1974 and headquartered in Olaberria (Gipuzkoa), HINE is a company specialized in the supply of hydraulic systems, hydraulic components, cooling systems, and after-sales services for industrial companies and the renewable energy sector.
The Carbon Footprint calculation has been carried out in accordance with the methodology established in the Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard of the GHG Protocol, covering Scopes 1, 2, and 3. This methodology allows for a rigorous and transparent quantification of direct and indirect emissions associated with the organization’s activity.
In the case of HINE Renewables’ main headquarters, the work has included the preparation and verification of the Carbon Footprint, covering Scopes 1, 2, and 3, for the 2023 and 2024 reporting years. Likewise, the Carbon Footprint calculations and reports for the 2023 reporting year have been prepared for the group’s subsidiaries located in Brazil, China, India, the United States, and Zaragoza.
Thanks to these reports, HINE now has a key tool to identify opportunities for improvement in its processes and to communicate its environmental impact transparently, strengthening its position as a company committed to sustainability.
