IK Ingeniería collaborates in the ecodesign and circularity workshops of the DEGREN PLUS project in Portugal and Extremadura

The DEGREN PLUS project aims to promote the development of sustainable products and services in the regions of Extremadura, Central Portugal and Alentejo, fostering the integration of ecodesign and circular economy principles into the business ecosystem. Through collaboration between companies, technology centres and public entities, the initiative seeks to reduce environmental impact throughout the entire product life cycle, promoting more responsible, innovative and competitive business models.

At IK Ingeniería, we carried out a diagnostic study that included the definition of market methodologies and tools aimed at driving environmental progress across the value chain. We also provided support in the co-creation processes of ecodesign and circularity strategies, through the formation of working groups with companies and key entities from the region’s priority sectors.

In this context, on 15 May, we participated at the Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development (CRSPD) in Marinha Grande, in a workshop organised by the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, where we shared ecodesign strategies as a lever to improve business competitiveness and sustainability.

Similarly, on 18 June, we participated in the event organised by COIIEX and FUNDECYT-PCTEX at the Extremadura Science and Technology Park, where we had the opportunity to present real case studies demonstrating the value of ecodesign in reducing costs, optimising resources and generating market differentiation.

If your organisation is looking to integrate sustainability into its value chain, do not hesitate to contact us. We will be pleased to support you on the path towards a more circular, efficient and competitive model.
