IK Ingeniería develops Fluidra’s Carbon Footprint and Water Footprint for 2025 for the second consecutive year

IK Ingeniería is once again collaborating with Fluidra, a global leader in the swimming pool and wellness sector, on the preparation of its aggregated Carbon Footprint and Water Footprint report for the year 2025. This report, developed in accordance with the GHG Protocol and UNE-ISO 14046:2015, provides key information to assess and improve the company’s environmental performance.

Carbon Footprint

The Carbon Footprint analysis has been carried out in accordance with the Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard of the GHG Protocol, considering Scopes 1, 2, and 3.

The data show that, in relative terms (dividing by sales), emissions have decreased compared to 2024. In particular, a reduction is observed in emissions associated with Scopes 1 and 2, especially those derived from electricity consumption, highlighting the positive impact of improvement measures implemented in previous years.

Water Footprint

The Water Footprint assessment has been conducted in accordance with UNE-ISO 14046:2015, considering all stages of the product life cycle through an iterative and interrelated approach.

The results show an absolute reduction in water impact compared to 2024. The use phase of the products stands out, where the greatest percentage decrease is observed, thanks to lower indirect water consumption associated with electricity use during the operation of the sold products.

Integrated support

At IK Ingeniería, we have carried out the life cycle inventory data collection process, the calculation of both the Carbon and Water Footprints, and the preparation of the reports, supporting Fluidra through to the audit conducted by an independent third party.

Thanks to the data obtained, Fluidra strengthens its sustainability strategy by identifying areas of greater efficiency and transparently monitoring its environmental performance and evolution over time.
