IK Ingeniería has once again collaborated with ECO BIERZO COMPOSITE (STACBOND) in the development of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its façade solutions manufactured using low-emission certified aluminium coils, further strengthening the company’s commitment to sustainability, environmental transparency and responsible construction.
As part of this project, a family Environmental Product Declaration has been developed, allowing products that share the same function, composition and industrial process to be grouped together. In this case, the declaration covers the following façade panels:
- STACBOND® FR ecogreen
- STACBOND® A2 ecogreen
The panels included in this EPD belong to the STACBOND® ecogreen range. They are manufactured using low-emission certified aluminium coils containing more than 95% recycled aluminium, helping to reduce carbon emissions by up to 50% compared with traditional composite panels. In addition, a specific EPD has also been developed for these ecogreen aluminium coils.
The following standards and reference Product Category Rules (PCRs) were followed in the preparation of these declarations:
- ISO 14025:2006
- EN 15804:2012+A2:2019/AC:2021
- PCR 2019:14 Construction Products (EN 15804+A2), version 2.0.1
Through this latest collaboration, IK Ingeniería continues to support manufacturers committed to reducing the environmental impact of their products, contributing its expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and the preparation of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), key tools for advancing towards more sustainable construction.
