The EPDs carried out transparently and independently verified by a third party provide information on the environmental profile of two product families designed and commercialized by ULMA, specifically grates for drainage channels and plastic drainage channels, based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study and in accordance with ISO 14025:2006 and EN 15804:2012+A2:2019/AC:2021 “Sustainability in construction. Environmental product declarations. Core product category rules for construction products”.
The declared units are the following types of plastic drainage channels:

These include stages A1, A2, A3, A4, C1, C2, C3, C4 and D, in accordance with the requirements of EN 15804+A2 and the PCR “2019:14 Construction products” (version 1.3.4) of the Environmental Product Declaration programme “International EPD System”.
IK Ingeniería has supported the company throughout the entire Environmental Product Declaration process: from the collection of life cycle inventory data for the manufacturing of plastic drainage grates and channels, to the environmental assessment of the results, the drafting of the declaration, and its final verification and certification.
