IK Ingeniería supports Pantallas Acústicas Panacor in obtaining its first EPD

Pantallas Acústicas Panacor, a company specialised in the manufacture and installation of acoustic barriers for road and railway infrastructure, has obtained its first Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). This certification corresponds to one of its models, the Panacor PVC LW70 acoustic panel.

The EPD is based on a declared unit of 1 m² of this model and provides a comprehensive environmental assessment covering the main stages of the product’s life cycle. The study includes raw material extraction, manufacturing of the panels, and transport of materials from suppliers, following a “cradle-to-gate with options” approach.

The analysis has been carried out in accordance with ISO 14025:2006 and EN 15804:2012+A2:2019, as well as the requirements of PCR 2019:14 Construction Products (version 2.0.1), covering modules A1–A3, C1–C4 and D.

The achievement of this Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) reinforces Pantallas Acústicas Panacor’s existing commitment to environmental sustainability and further supports its Quality and Environmental Policy, which aims to integrate more sustainable practices and minimise the impacts of its activities.

At IK Ingeniería, we were responsible for collecting life cycle inventory data, performing the environmental assessment of the results, and preparing the Environmental Product Declaration. In addition, we supported the company throughout the verification and certification audit process.

The EPD has already been published and is available for consultation here.
